Please join us for worship led by Hank Driscoll and Geoff Ward. The general theme of the service will be recognizing those who serve behind the scenes.
We will be honoring Fred Humphries, who will have been diligently serving as the church’s sexton for 15 years come this fall. Week in, week out, Fred cleans up the church and Osgood interiors, wheels out the trash and recycle barrels, flushes the heating system, keeps a general watch on things, meets with prospective building rentors, and more, yet very few members of our community would recognize Fred if they bumped into him on the street, on account of his mostly being on the premises only on weekday mornings. This service’s purpose is to change that.
Our new chuch administrator, Brenda Bonetti, will also be attending the service and will be introduced to everyone. Her predecessor, Lynn Battinelli, left very suddenly this past December when her husband died, also after having served 15 years with very few community members ever having met her.
FREE CHILDCARE FOR TODDLERS & PRESCHOOLERS. We are delighted to have children come to church, and they are always welcome to stay in the sanctuary during the service. Also, free childcare is provided for toddlers and preschoolers each Sunday during the service in the Nursery Room on the second floor of the Osgood House, the yellow house across the side street from the church. In addition, parents with children can use the “Quiet Room” in the church next to the sanctuary, where the service is piped in so they won’t miss anything.
