Have you ever been hurt by unkind words? Ever hurt somebody else? Words are powerful, and can be used to heal or to harm. How do we learn to speak more wisely, and with compassion?
This Sunday I will be leading the service on “Cultivating Wise Speech,” drawing both on Buddhist and Unitarian-Universalist traditions. It will not repeat, but will follow some of the themes raised by Steve Schmidt in his service two weeks ago, applying them to our everyday lives.
Our summer services are led by lay members of the congregation. Please join us! This service will be led by Susan Jhirad and will be followed by refreshments in the fellowship hall.
