Touchstone Groups Begin Soon

Touchstone – the gauge by which we determine the quality or genuineness of our life

Again this year, we will be offering our church community the opportunity to take part in small groups called ‘Touchstone Groups’. These are groups of six to eight people which meet once a month through the church year to share with each other from our own personal experiences and insights.

Groups meet by ZOOM or in-person and there is no homework or reading involved.  We have a whole new set of topics for you this year including “Home”, “Gender” and “The Edge”. Touchstone groups are an opportunity for members of our church community to gather in small groups to get to know each other better and to share more deeply from the heart, beyond what is possible during our Sunday program.  This is an opportunity to be with others – to listen and share who we are and what is important to us.

Groups being offered beginning this September:

  • ZOOM – 3rd Monday Evening with Michael Glenn.
  • ZOOM – 4th Sunday afternoon with Ann Heintz – a welcoming women’s group open to anyone who identifies as a woman.
  • IN-PERSON – 4th Tuesday evening with Deb Robison – meeting at church.
  • ZOOM – 1st or 4th Tuesday evening with Lourie August – could also be a Monday evening if that’s your preference.

I hope that many of us will take part in our Touchstone groups starting this fall. Small groups are a great way to connect with each other and strengthen the fabric of our church community. If you are interested in participating in a Touchstone group this year or have questions, please let me know by sending an email to Lourie August: bernardiaugust@aol.com
