Hello dear members and friends,

Our August visioning gatherings are coming up! 

Here is more info:

Who can come?

Members, friends, and staff of UUCM. If you’re not a member, but you feel connected enough to the church to care about its future, you are very welcome!

When are the meetings?

We hope that everyone can come to one of the meetings:

  • Sunday, Aug 11th at 11:30 a.m.: Potluck lunch after church
  • Monday, Aug. 19th at 7:00 p.m.: Zoom gathering
  • Tuesday, Aug 27th at 6:00 p.m.: Potluck dinner

If you can’t make any but would like to contribute your thoughts, contact one of us (below) for a conversation. 

Yes, you can come to more than one, but the agenda for all three will be the same.

Do I need to RSVP? 

No … but it would be great if you would! We don’t know whether to expect 5 people or 20. You can respond to this email, or write your name(s) here.

What can I bring? What if I can’t bring anything?

At a church potluck, there is always enough. If you can’t bring food, just come and eat.

On Sunday, August 11th, potluck lunch will be simultaneous with coffee hour.

You said there will be childcare for the in-person events?

We hope so, but don’t know yet. It would be helpful to know when families with children want to come. You can write to Lourie, or click here to provide your info.

What is the agenda?

We plan to give a brief overview of our current situation and its history, the kind of decisions the church needs to make over the next few months, and what the process may look like.

Then we plan to ask each of you, in a focus-group type format, questions like:

  • What about the church is working well for you?
  • What changes can you imagine that would make it even better?
