Born in Burlington, Vermont, he was the beloved eldest son of the late Herbert and Lucille (Ring) Stockwell. Mr. Stockwell worked in Retail for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling, reading, and doing crossword puzzles as well as watching trivia shows. Robert grew up in Vermont and lived in California before moving to Somerville. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his loving brothers, Norman Stockwell of Hull, MA, Stanley Stockwell, and his companion Maris Prost of Peabody, MA, and James Stockwell of Beverly. He was also the Uncle of Charlie Stockwell, Heather Stockwell, and her husband Eugene O’Neil, Elizabeth Stockwell, and Alex Stockwell.
Robert was also the long-time good friend of Cathy Burns of Watertown, Cathy Price, and Carolyn Carleton as well as many dear friends from AA. Alanon, the Congregational, and Unitarian Churches.
