“For the past ten years I have been doing animal rescue flights. Each week I receive a few requests from a website that go out to many pilot recipients to help get a rescue animal (usually a dog or a cat) from a place, often down south, to a new home – a shelter, a foster, an adopter – in the northeast. After a lot of back and forth the pilots from south to north form a relay and we each fly a leg until the animal is safely landed somewhere in New Hampshire, Connecticut or Maine. Those are my states. I can talk about any and all aspects of this – the animals, the rescue, the flying, the experience as a whole.”
