Chalice Lighting: Excerpt from interview with Elandria Williams

What is lifting up my spirit is holding that I am unbound. What is lifting up my spirit is that I will break the chains. What is lifting up my spirit is that I am deserving of a 100% radical love, care and worthiness. And I will accept nothing less, and that all of my young people also deserve that, and that if we’re going to actually move and believe that everybody deserves it, then we actually have to have the chains broke, we all must differently. None of us can be worried about all the petty randomness, that we get stuck on every day and we all have to be like, what is my role to play in unbreakable-ness?

Hymn #348: Guide My Feet, music from the collection of Willis Laurence James, piano and vocals: Molly Ruggles

Guide my feet while I run this race (3x)
For I don’t want to run this race in vain!

Hold my hand while I run this race (3x)
For I don’t want to run this race in vain!

Stand by me while I run this race (3x)
For I don’t want to run this race in vain!

Search my heart while I run this race (3x)
For I don’t want to run this race in vain!

Never turning back, never turning back.

Sigamos adelante
Siempre adelante, siempre adelante
Sin volver atrás, sin volver atrás.

Gonna keep on loving boldly
Keep on loving boldly

Never turning back, never turning back

Amaremos con pasión
Siempre con pasión, siempre con pasión
Sin volver atrás, sin volver atrás.

Gonna reach across our borders
Reach across our borders
Reach across our borders
Never turning back, never turning back.

Vivamos sin fronteras
Siempre sin fronteras, siempre sin fronteras
Sin volver atrás, sin volver atrás.

Gonna reunite the families
Reunite the families
Reunite the families
Never turning back, never turning back

Familias reunidas
Siempre reunidas, siempre reunidas,
Sin volver atrás, sin volver atrás

Gonna keep on moving forward
Keep on moving forward

Never turning back, never turning back
Never turning back, never turning back
Never turning back, never turning back.
