The UU Church of Medford is proud to announce that our own Rev. Marta will lead the largest annual gathering of UUs in worship at this year’s Unitarian Universalist Association General Assembly in Spokane, Washington on Sunday, June 23, 2019.
General Assembly, or GA, is the annual meeting of the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA), the central organization for the Unitarian Universalist religious movement in the United States. Attendees worship, witness, learn, connect, and make policy for the Association through a democratic process. The event culminates with Sunday Morning Worship, where thousands of UUs and other visitors join in worship together, along with other UU churches who participate via livestreaming over the internet. The theme of this year’s General Assembly is “The Power of We”.
In celebration of this momentous occasion, the UU Church of Medford will host a community potluck at 12 PM on Sunday, June 23 and has rescheduled its regular Sunday service that day to coincide with the live stream of worship from General Assembly; it will be at 1:00 PM Eastern. Attendees will participate in the worship service along with participants in Spokane and across the country.
