May 1, or May Day is celebrated throughout the world as a holiday honoring working people and their struggles. Although it was started in the U.S. as part of the successful struggle for the 8 hour day, it is no longer celebrated here. Our monthly theme is “Story”, and the stories of working people are rarely told. Our Sunday service will share some of these stories and honor work in all its forms. In our coffee hour discussion groups, we will have an opportunity to discuss our own work, its joys, and hardships. As always there will be beautiful music and fellowship.
