Sunday Service: John Muir, Transcendentalist

Join us for our Sunday Service on May’s theme of Nurturing Beauty led by Rev. Bruce Taylor.

Transcendentalists such as Ralph Waldo Emerson and Henry David Thoreau sought direct experience of mystery and wonder and found it in the natural world. They had a kindred spirit in John Muir, whose life was transformed by his encounters with Yosemite, Yellowstone, Alaska, and other sacred spaces which he devoted his life to exploring, sharing, and preserving for future generations. In this service, we will see nature through Muir’s eyes.
