Our Sunday Service will be led by Dee Morris.
Rev. John Pierpont was the minister of our church from 1849 – 1856. By the time he became a minister, his colorful career had already included becoming a merchant, a lawyer, and a nationally known poet; and in the pulpit he was known as a prominent abolitionist. No stranger to failure and triumph, Pierpont’s life is a study in resilience. This service invites us to think about his ability to bounce back in the face of adversity as we ourselves cope with changes and challenges in our world.
