The Reclamation of Ebenezer Scrooge

“I am not the man I was!” Such is the cry of Ebenezer Scrooge, who, by the end of Charles Dickens’ Christmas Carol, has indeed changed, and to an extent, many of us might wish for ourselves. Of course, to enact this transformation, Dickens does provide his main character with some particularly effective intervention of the supernatural kind, but still, but there are other forces too behind Scrooge’s conversion. Join us as we reflect on the deeper lessons in Dickens’ great and charming parable of abiding change.

It is our tradition to sing a few hymns before the service to warm up our spirits. All are welcome to join us for “Morning Song” at approximately 10:50 in the sanctuary. Our worship service begins at 11.

After the service, join us for coffee and refreshments in the fellowship hall. All are welcome.
