Speaker: Vijaya Sundaram

Vijaya is the current Poet Laureate of Medford, MA. Her first collection of
poems, titled Fractured Lens, was published in August 2023 by Červená Barva
Press. She is also a singer-songwriter, guitarist and sitarist. In her capacity as full-time
English faculty, she teaches college writing, poetry, literature, and American Culture in
the English Dept. at Bunker Hill Community College. In her capacity as Poet Laureate,
she runs an Open Mic and a Poetry Club in Medford, to which all are welcome.
