Welcome Sage Fogle, our new Music Director!

Dear UUCM Community:

I am very pleased to announce that Sage Fogle will be joining us as the new music director at UUCM as of January 1. Hurrah! Sage, who uses the pronouns they/them, will coordinate all aspects of the church music program including hymns and special music, and will be present in church two Sundays a month, playing the piano and coordinating the choir.  Sage is enthusiastic about the idea of working collaboratively with all the members of the church community to bring the joy of music into our sacred lives. Sage has significant training and experience as a Collaborative Pianist. I will leave it to them to share about the many musical endeavors they have been involved with.  Please find their photo and Bio a little further down. We at UUCM welcome Sage with open hearts and enthusiastic voices and look forward to working with them in the New Year!

The UUCM Board would like to extend an enthusiastic Thank You to the Music Director Search Committee – Andey Amata, Alex Daum, Paul Marcucilli, and Carole Bundy. A job well done. Also, a huge Thank You to Russell Tripp who took on the task of playing piano and organ EVERY Sunday throughout the fall while we were looking for a new Music Director. Happily, Russell will still be playing music a couple of Sundays a month going forward.

And finally, a special Thank You to Alex Daum for arranging Special Music this fall for our Sunday services – a duet, a flutist, and the choir – to name a few.  The music always adds a special spark to our Sunday services.

So here’s Sage! Please read further to see their bio and begin to get to know them.
