Dear fellow members of UUCM.
As the new church year begins in September I would like to invite you to consider joining the UUCM Book Club which will meet once a month via Zoom to discuss a new book each month between September and June.
The meetings take place on the second Monday of each month and run from 7 to 8:30 pm.
This is a great opportunity to get to meet and know fellow members outside of Sunday services and to have an opportunity to discuss and share ideas on a variety of topics ranging from UU, Religion and Spirituality, Social Justice, the Environment, and more; in short, the whole gamut of the Human condition. Feb 10, The Deadly Rise of Anti-Science, A Scientist’s Warning, by Peter Hotez. Moderated by Cathy
Mar 10, An Emancipation of the Mind: Radical Philosophy, the War over Slavery, and the Refounding of America, by Matthew Stewart. Moderated by Michael.
Apr 14, The Overstory, by Richards Power. Moderated by Lourie. (This is a 600 page book. Try to get it early.)
