The annual UUCM Rummage Sale will be held Saturday, April 5 from 9 am to 2:30 pm. PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDARS. It will be indoors in Benker Hall. We charge an admission fee of $4 for the FIRST HOUR of the sale. Admission is FREE beginning at 10 am.
We need items to sell! You may leave donations on the stage in Benker Hall beginning next weekend, MARCH 1. Check your closets, your basements, your garage. Invite friends and neighbors to donate. Many people are looking for a good place to share their no-longer-needed items.
Here are some donation guidelines:
* Housewares, kitchen, decorative items, sporting goods, house linens, office supplies, craft items, jewelry, small furniture, tools, yard, and pet items are welcomed.
* We are accepting clothes and shoes. It is helpful if they are bagged separate from other rummage sale items.
* Scarves, Purses and Bags are good.
* Books are great.
* Only higher quality toys and games accepted. Thank you but no stuffed animals, car seats, large plastic toys or vehicles, etc.
* Please only donate electronics that there is a good chance someone would want and be able to use. No TVs – unless you speak with me directly.
* Please only items that are clean and in good condition. It is very hard for us to manage items in need of even a small repair.
* If you have a question about if an item will be accepted, please ask.
In addition to donating items, your help is also needed in the following areas:
1) Help will be needed in advance of the sale to sort and price. The first sorting session will be on Saturday, March 15 from 2:00 to 4:30. And more work sessions are planned after that.
2) We need people during the sale for check-out, to answer questions, and organize merchandise. The jewelry table needs special attention throughout the day.
3) Help is needed at the end of the Rummage Sale, beginning at 2:30, to pack up and remove leftover items.
Last year the Rummage Sale raised $5000 in support of the day-to-day operations of the church! We appreciate your help in helping to make it happen again this year.
